A contemporary colourful home set in the Somerset countryside.
Over a three year process we worked with our client on a complete design package for this newly developed four bedroom home in the pretty village of Wellow near Bath. We were brought on to the project at an early stage and worked alongside the architect to create an internal layout that worked perfectly for the property’s combined use as a family home and luxury holiday home. The layout centres around a bright open plan kitchen and living space with a high angled ceiling and sweeping views over the surrounding countryside.
We designed all joinery items throughout the property including the kitchen cabinetry, media units and staircase and enlisted skilled craftsmen to bring our designs to life. Combining complimentary timber finishes throughout including walnut, spruce and oak create a rich layered feel. A colour thread was used throughout the property with cool blue and green tones balanced by warm ochre and terracotta. It was important for the client that each space had its own design identity but incorporating a clear colour thread ensured a sense of cohesion.
As with many of our projects we combined bespoke made items and high end finishes with cost effective furniture and accessories to create a striking design that was within budget.
We have had the pleasure of working with this client on a number of projects and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them again to create this beautiful home!
