A bright and spacious compact kitchen renovation in the heart of Clifton.
We were approached to provide a full design package for a compact kitchen in Clifton, Bristol. The client had explored multiple kitchen layouts and was overwhelmed with the number of options in terms of layout and material finish- a costly staircase reconfiguration was also being considered. Studio Rey simplified the layout- retaining the existing position of the staircase- and created a galley kitchen which maximised storage and incorporated a space saving dining bench with integrated storage. The layout created a spacious feel and a clear circulation route from the entrance to the home through to the living space and staircase to the first floor.
To ensure the project was within budget we used a combination of off the shelf and semi bespoke joinery for the kitchen cabinetry and combined this with impactful materials and accessories. The material palette is fresh and modern yet warm and textural with oak veneered and bright blue cabinets, a terrazzo worktop and bold backsplash tiling.

“It was brilliant discovering Studio Rey, and finding in Grace someone with a shared vision of creating a lovely relaxing yet practical space for one of the most important rooms in the house. Her calm and professional but friendly approach dealing with contractors, suppliers and us as clients was very reassuring, and her creative input and wonderful eye for colour invaluable in helping create a warm welcoming home, receiving many compliments from friends and family. We have asked for help with other projects around the home and would recommend Grace whole heartedly.”
